We are currently looking for U.S. Tax Analysts to join our team in Montreal.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating an understanding of increasingly complex U.S. tax concepts
  • In collaboration with other tax professionals, developing recommendations and implementing tax plans by preparing tax analysis and memoranda
  • Assisting with research for U.S. consulting mandates
  • Preparing U.S. Federal and state income tax returns for individuals
  • Preparing U.S. Federal and state income tax returns for business entities
  • Litigation support including representation to the taxation authorities and preparation of appeals
  • Providing clients and partners with quality, timely and responsive services
  • Keeping informed of changing U.S. tax laws and effectively applying tax knowledge to files while remaining thorough and accurate
  • Developing practical and business-oriented approaches to the client’s tax situation and arriving at appropriate conclusions
  • Contributing to the development and execution of the firm’s business plan

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting
  • U.S. CPA or Canadian CPA designation would be an asset, but not mandatory
  • Relevant work experience in a public accounting firm, an asset
  • Experience or interest in U.S. tax compliance, an asset
  • Ability to work within a varying work schedule and within required budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English, French would be an asset)
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience with CaseWare and TaxPrep, an asset
